Genkōbori
The Genkōbori is a long wall which Japanese set up on the northern part of the island of Kyūshū to deny oneself the attempts at invasions coming from the sea. Indeed, in 1274 and 1281, the Mongolian tried by invading twice the Japan while trying to unload in this area. This wall is still visible today at certain places, but of other parts were not still discovered and are under the sand of the beaches of Kyūshū. The wall makes approximately 20 km of length and approximately 3 meters in height.
