Genillé

Genillé is a common French of the department of Indre-et-Loire, in the area Center.

Geography

History

Genillé is a very old village whose name appears on currencies as of the time mérovingienne (7th century). The big family which makes return Genillé in the history is that of Adam Fumée, humanistic doctor and large servant of the kings Charles VII and Louis XI. It is him which makes rebuild the Holy-Eulalie church and which starts to build the castle Adam Fumée.
