Genevieve Brisac
Genevieve Brisac is writer and editor. She received the Prix Femina in 1996 for her novel Week-end of hunting .
She was born with Paris and was professor in Seine-Saint-Denis. Its adolescence was marked by one long period of Anorexie which it describes in an autobiographical book entitled Petite , left into 1994 with the editions Olivier. Exit of a family of intellectuals, it always wanted to transmit what the books brought to him. She taught thus and became editor at Gallimard, where she published its first novel, the girls . She currently directs the Mouche collections, Last nines and Medium with the School of the leisures since 1989.
She intervenes sometimes on France Culture.
In the School of the leisures, it published the stories of Olga, a little girl always ready with the adventure, but also with the revolt against the injustices and the lie, and of Monelle which carries the beautiful first name of a character invented by the writer Marcel Schwob who said: “Screw in the moment! Only the moment is truth”.
It is the author of eleven books for the adults, of a collection of news, For which are you caught? , and of two tests, Far from the Paradise and the Walk of the rider (editions of Olivier) and of more than one score of books for youth. Its last book, published in the editions of Olivier in 2006, is entitled 52 or the second life .
