The Geneva-Servette Hockey Club is a club of professional Hockey of the town of Geneva in Suisse.

It evolves/moves in National league has and is pulled by Chris McSorley, assisted by Hans Kossmann.

History

  • 1954 : the club has for the first time an artificial ice, with the House of the Sports. Until there, Servette was regularly to receive its adversaries with Lausanne or with the Bridge. The first match on this new track opposes Servette to Urania Geneva Sport (UGS)

  • 1956 : the first promotion in National league B

  • 1958 : inauguration of the Skating rink of Vernets

  • 1959 : Servette gains the Cut of Switzerland after having gained final 7-3 against the Young Sprinters of Neuchâtel in front of: 11820 spectators, record of multitude to the skating rink of Vernets

  • 1963 : creation of Geneva-Servette HC after fusion enters the section hockey of Servette and that of UGS

  • 1964 : Geneva-Servette is champion of Switzerland of National league B after having beaten HC Bienne finally, and reaches for the first time the National league has of which it will be five times vice-champion

  • 1975 : descent in LNB

  • 1980 : descent in first league

  • 1995 : promotion in LNB after a victory over Lucerne in match of stopping

  • 2001 : promotion in LNA after a victory over Coire finally
