Generation X: Bruise for year Accelerated Culture is a book of Douglas Coupland published in 1991.

In this novel, one follows Andy, Clair and Dag, three characters in the “score” living with Palm Springs and who are under-employed. Their disenchantment vis-a-vis the work world constitutes the background of tragic and fantastic stories which they tell the ones the others throughout the book. The Canadian author delivers to us also various reflections printed in the margins of the book, which makes two readings in one. It is about a cynical book which describes in a very satirical way the North-American company of the end of the 20th century.
