Generation X

The members of the Génération X are, according to classification William Strauss and Neil Howe, the Westerners born between 1961 and 1981. This generation is inserted between that of the baby-boomers and the Génération Y. In France, generation X is made up of the people born between 1964 and 1977.

" Nomades"

According to the classification of Strauss and Howe, this generation is " nomade" , which explains their passion for aggressiveness, the taste of the adventure, cynicism and the counter-culture which is opposed to the boomers.

Culture

Nirvana, with its song " Smells Like Teen Spirit ", an ode with generation X was issued; many are those which consider that this song is the heart even " X". Their music is still extremely appreciated among those which follow them, the Génération Y.

" Generation X " is also the title of the first novel of Douglas Coupland.

Unconscious collective

This one seems marked by the Cold war and the innumerable technological advancements having taken place lasting this era. According to them, nothing is impossible, it is enough that one puts time and the money at it.
