General union of the civil servant federations

The General union of the civil servant federations CGT (UGFF-CGT) is an organization of the General confederation of work (CGT). It covers the field of the public office of State in France. At the European level, it is affiliated with FSESP

The UGFF-CGT gathers primarily the personnel employed by the State and its public corporations, i.e. in particular out of the territorial public function (communes, departments, areas and their establishments), of the health care institutions, the Post office and France Telecom. These government officials work in:

ministries: decentralized central administrations, services;
the public corporations under supervision of these ministries: administrative public corporations (EPA), industrial and commercial public corporations (EPIC), public corporations of scientific and technical teaching (EPEST), etc

Locally, UGFF-CGT develops - within the departmental unions or local of the CGT - departmental or local collectives gathering the organizations of the public office of State and its components. UGFF-CGT works towards four ends thus:

to answer locally the stakes posed with the public office of State at the local level;
to develop a democratic step with the trade unionists who supports the intervention of the users and the citizens;
to stimulate the debates and analyzes with the CGT organizations of the territorial public function, hospital, of La Poste and France Telecom, as with the whole of “interprofessional” (nationalized public sector and private sector);
to amplify the level and the extent of the actions interdependent on the topics of shared interest.

By its analyzes and its proposals, the UGFF-CGT is given for objective to make prevail in the company the ideals of Liberté, of equality, Fraternité, Solidarité, Justice, Laïcité. It fights so that these ideals are translated in individual and collective guarantees: right to the formation, employment and social protection; right to life with dignity of its work, dignity and democracy with work and in the community, freedom of thought, expression and union action, right to strike and of intervention in the social life and economic, on the work place as in the company.

On its field of specific activity, it aims at the defense and the improvement of the statute of the civils servant, like those of the public service, the place and the role of the State, its administrations and services, within the French company, thinking of acting for the benefit of all the user-citizens, like very whole community.
