General states of 1560
The general states open with Orleans, the December 13rd 1560, in a room built for this purpose on the place of the State.
The Chancellor Michel of Hospital then will obtain that the religious questions are discussed at the time of next a Concile. The queen goes, as for it, to prevent the nobility and the third to discuss the limits of the royal capacity in their ordering.
They prepared also commercial laws which were in force until in 1789.
The states are closed the January 31st 1561.
