General instruction relating to the civil statue in France
A general instruction relating to the civil statue is a ministerial directive French Minister for the Justice which tends to to gather in only one document the legislative provisions and regulatory, circular and jurisprudential decisions relating to the civil statue and with its administration.
The first general instruction of this type, emitted on September 21st, 1955, was modified on March 25th, 1958, on July 15th, 1966, on February 19th, 1970, on August 4th, 1974, on January 31st, 1978, on May 11th, 1999 (integral revision, replacing the preceding instructions, become obsolete) and on November 2nd, 2004.
