General election manitobaine of 2007

The general election manitobaine of 2007 was started on April 20th, 2007 by the Prime Minister Gary Doer in order to elect the Député S of the 39e legislature with the legislative Assemblée of the Manitoba (Canada); it is about the 39e general election in this province since its creation in 1870. The poll proceeds the May 22nd.

The government néo-democrat of the Prime Minister Gary Doer is re-elected with a third consecutive parliamentary majority, a first for a Prime Minister néo-democrat; it is about the strongest majority since 1932. The two opposition parties, the Left progressist-conservative and the Liberal party, which were both represented with the legislative Parliament during her dissolution, preserved the majority of their seats. Only two preserving districts changed allegiance with the profit of the NPD. The green Left and the Communist party also introduced candidates, but did not make elect of deputy.
