General election britanno-Colombian of 1903
The election britanno-Colombian of 1903 is held the October 3rd 1903 in order to elect with the legislative Assemblée of the Colombia-British (Canada) the Député S of the 10th legislature. It is about the 10th general election since the adhesion of the province to the Canadian Confédération in 1871.
Context
This election is the first to be proceeded by political parties in Colombia-British. Before this election, the policy of the Colombia-British was non-partisane. This first election is dominated by the parties liberal and preserving, affiliated with the parties existing at the federal level (the Liberal party of Canada and the Conservative party of Canada.
The Conservative party of the Colombia-British receives more than 46,4% of the popular vote and gains thin a majority of seats to the legislative Parliament.

Each of the three electoral constituencies with a working candidate (Nanaimo, Slocan and Vancouver City) had their local and autonomous working own party. Moreover, certain liberal candidates seem to have made countryside as “a liberals ouvriers ” (in Atlin, Victoria and Ymir).
