General delegation from Quebec in Paris
The purpose of the General delegation from Quebec in Paris (shortened in DGQP ) is to represent the Quebec in the French Republic and to make known the Québécois culture in Europe.
Description
Its offices are on the Rue Pergolèse in Paris.The service of the delegation manages a library of 17.000 works and 1.500 media documents. Several cultural events are organized by the delegation, which is under the authority of the Québécois ministry of the international relations.
It is possible to find information there on Quebec with an aim of travelling there, of establishing commercial relations there or of immigrating there. The Inhabitants of Quebec visiting or alive in France can also consult the delegation for practical informations.
History
It was inaugurated the October 5th 1961.The current delegate is Wilfrid Guy-Licari, which was before Ambassade ur with the the Holy See.
Hector Fabre had been named representative in Paris of 1882 with 1910 before the creation of the general delegation.
