Gendarmerie of air transports
The Gendarmerie of air transports (AWG) formed integral part of the French National police.
Specialized training of more 1000 qualified personnel in aeronautics and airport safety, it is attached to the Head office of the civil aviation (DGAC). Established on the large airports, it remains qualified on the whole of the national territory for the traditional missions of the gendarmerie (judicial police, administrative and military) but more particularly for a mission of Police of the aerial navigation (control of the aircraft, observations of the infringements to the aeronautical legislation, judicial enquiries consecutive with the accidents and incidents of aircraft, and for a Mission of safety of the reserved hot area of the airports (ZR). These professionals of aeronautics, formed by the National school of the civil aviation, have a perfect knowledge of this sector to the multiple activities and contribute to the application of the concept territorial economic Intelligence in its component of protection of the companies.
