Gen Paul

Gen Paul , of his true name Eugene Paul , born the July 2nd 1895, street Lepic in Paris, and deceased the April 30th 1975 with Paris, is a painter expressionnist French.

Friend of Louis-Ferdinand Celine, Gen Paul is an autodidact, sometimes qualified in a reducing way of “painter of Montmartre”.

He will be initiated with engraving by Eugene Delâtre.

It is as from 1924, that Gen Paul starts a solitary evolution, it starts to move away from the painting of his/her friends Utrillo, Leprin, Génin, Quizet and Frank-Will, chahute the subjects and comes from there to create a personal form of expressionnism of the movement.

Some of its works are with the Museums of Bern and Granville, and the Museum of Modern art of the Town of Paris preserves in its reserves two large tables of end of the year 30.
