Geai of the pine forests
The Geai of the pine forests ( Gymnorhinus cyanocephalus ) is the only species of this kind pertaining to the family of the Corvidae. It resembles small a corbel by its behavior but its coloring is that of a bluish Geai. Its association with the pine S is shared only by the Casse-noix within this family, her nesting in naked colony and its nostrils that by the adult Rook.
Description
Geai of the pine forests measures 25 to 28 cm. It has a rather pointed nozzle noirâtre and a short tail but of the rather long wings. Its plumage is entirely blue tern, darker on the head, paler on tail and sharper on the chest, the vertex and the face. The throat blanchâtre is slightly mottled.
