Gbadolite
Gbadolite (delivery) is a city of the north of the province of the Ecuador, in Democratic republic of Congo. Gbado , as it sometimes is called, extends on 11,2 km 2 .
History
Gbadolite was the town of origin of the president and dictator of the Zaire, Mobutu Sese Seko. Mobutu made sure that the inhabitants of Gbadolite can enjoy privileges that generally did not have the remainder of the country, such electricity. The roads of the area among were best maintained the country.In 1967, Gbadolite is a hamlet, hardly counting some boxes. Mobutu transformed Gbadolite into an often called luxurious city the “Versailles of the jungle”. It made build a stopping and an hydroelectric station on the river Ubangi, an international airport which could accommodate the Concorde, and three palates immense. The inhabitants of the city were particularly privileged, in particular to find employment, generally as a personnel of house.
Two palates were high in Kawale, at some distance from Gbadolite. One was composed of a whole of Chinese pagodas, and the other of modern residences, and were generally reserved for the habitat for Mobutu and its guests. The three palates of Gbadolite when to them were reserved for a use of function or protocolar.
When Laurent-Desired Kabila évinça Mobutu of the capacity in 1997, Gbabolite was plundered and contents of the carried palate. Those from now on are invaded by the vegetation.
In 1998, the group rebels MLC (Liberation movement of Congo), supported by the Uganda and directed by Jean-Pierre Bemba, took Gbadolite with the governmental forces of Kabila, and made its general headquarter of it.
