Gaviidae

The family of the gaviidés (or Gaviidae ) includes/understands the five Espèce S of dives , all in same the kind Gavia .
They are water birds with the heavy body (from 53 to 91 cm length), with the narrow wings and the tapered body, adapted to the diving.
They live in the North of the holarctic zone (North America and Eurasia), on the free stretches of water, as well inside the grounds as on the coasts.
