Gave d\' Azun

The gave of Azun , course lower of the Gave d' Arrens, is a left Affluent Gave of Pau to Argelès-Gazost in the Hautes-Pyrénées.

Etymology

It owes its name with the Val of Azun (probably of the Basque Aitz-un “place of rocks”).

Geography

The gave of Azun results from the meeting, with height of Bun , of the Gave d' Arrens, its higher course, and of the Gave d' Estaing (also called Gave de Labat de Bun).
