Gave d\' Aspe

The gave of Winder is a river located in the Yrénées-Atlantiques. It sprinkles the Vallée of Winder which is one of the three valleys of the Haut-Béarn.

The term Gave indicates a torrential river in the the Western Pyrenees.

It takes its source in the circus of Winder , with the foot of the Mont Winder (2  643  m), Spanish side of the border, in the west of the Collar of Somport. It joined the Gave of OS to Oloron-Holy-Marie, thus forming the Gave d' Oloron.

The unit formed by the gave of Winder and Lourdios is indexed like site Natura 2000.
