Gautier Capuçon

Gautier Capuçon is a violoncellist French born on September 3rd, 1981 in Chambéry.

Very early musician, it gains in 1998 the First Price of the international Academy of music Maurice Ravel of Saint-Jean-with-Luz and, the following years, several rewards of international scale. Interpret chamber music or soloist of orchestra, Gautier Capuçon is partner of some of the most prestigious interpreters of our time: his/her brother Renaud Capuçon with the violin, and the pianists Nicholas Angelich, Martha Argerich, Daniel Barenboïm, Stephen Kovacevich, Frank Braley, Helene Grimaud, Marielle and Katia Labèque, inter alia). He interprets as well the traditional repertory as romantic and modern: Beethoven, Brahms, Chostakovitch, Haydn, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Schubert,… It married in September 2007, Delphine Borsarello, violoncellist, second of the six children of Jean-Luc Borsarello, the violonist
