Gaurain-Ramecroix

Gaurain-Ramecroix is a section of the Belgian city of Tournai, located in Walloon region in the Province of Hainaut.

It was a common to whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977.

The production of subterranean water is assumed by 82 sites outputting annually more than 1 million m ³: among these sites, one of most important is that of Gaurain-Ramecroix (6,7 million m ³). On more than 400 million m ³ of subterranean water produced in Walloon region.

170 million m ³ is exported per annum towards Brussels and the Flemish Région. One can have here an overall idea of this production of water souteraine in Walloon region.
