Gaudenzio saint

Holy Gaudenzio - 327 - 418 (approximate dates) - Bishop.

One knows little thing about the life and the work of this saint, especially known in the town of Novara of which he is patron saint, and by his friendship with Saint Ambroise and by a series of sermons intended for one of his parishioners who, sick, could not go to the offices.

He was the eighth bishop of Brescia elected around 390. At the time of its election, it was in pilgrimage in Holy Land. The Pope Innocent Ier invited it to bring his assistance to Saint Jean Chrysostome.

Gaudenzio, very cultivated man, had confidence and considers personalities religious and civil of its time, and testified to a great faith and a great holiness.
