Gaston de Foix-Nemours

Gaston de Foix , born with Mazères the December 10th 1489, died with Ravenne the April 11th 1512, was duke of Nemours, count d' Étampes and Viscount of Narbonne. It was wire of Jean de Foix, count d' Étampes and Viscount of Narbonne, and Marie of Orleans, a sister of Louis XII.

It accepted the command of the royal army in Italy, and deserved by its important facts of being called the Foudre of Italy : it freed Bologna, took Brescia, gained on the hispano-Italian army the Bataille of Ravenne, but was killed while continuing overcome. -----
