Gaston Calves
Gaston Calves (1868 - 1953) - of its name Gaston Balthazar Velle - is a film producer having worked for Pathé then for the Movies Italian.
Conjurer and wire of the conjurer Joseph Calves, Gaston Velle ensured the setting in scene of the majority of films fairyhoods and fakings during the full rise of the Pathé production. It realized there more than 50 films over one period going of 1903 with 1911.
Its departure for the Italian company Movies with Rome in 1906, where he becomes artistic director started in 1907, at the time of its return to Pathé, a sharp polemic between the two concurrent companies, Movies showing Pathé of plagiarism.
