Gasté spitz
Loulou Gasté (born the March 18th 1908 with Paris - died the January 8th 1995 with Rueil-Malmaison) is a French type-setter with success.

In September 1956 Loulou Gasté composes a song entitled For you , on words of the novelist Albert Simonin and of his wife Marie-Helene Bourquin, intended for Dario Moreno, singer with the especially exotic repertory, which must sing it in a film of Henri Decoin, Fire with the powders . The interpretation of Dario Moreno does not have any success. Line Renaud records in his turn the work of her husband, who is not either a considerable success. She is however interpreted and recorded, in France and abroad, by ten singers and orchestras.
In 1974, Morris Albert interprets in English a song whose he says the author: Feelings , published in Sao-Paulo by Augusta C Brazil, Brazilian editor . In 1975, this song is re-recorded by Mike Brant which reintroduces it in France under the title Dis him . In 1976, Feelings is a world success: 500 different recordings in the whole world, and all the languages. This success is also due to the fact that it is about one of the last songs recorded by the artist before his death (Mike Brandt will never listen to the disc of it). The versions of Feelings recorded in the United States by Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra will be in addition a very great success.
In December 1977, Loulou Gasté discovers that the song which throne at the head hits parades since months is in fact the plagiarism of one of its songs, written a score of years earlier. He also discovers that the editor is not other than Augusta Do Brazil, with which he had been in business connections, owing to the fact that he under-published his songs in the years 1950 and 1960. During seven years, in front of the French jurisdictions then American, Loulou will have to fight to make recognize the paternity of its song. Retrouver Morris Albert will not be a small matter, one will end nevertheless up reaching it in California. The lawsuit in plagiarism is committed in June 1981. It will last until July 1987, both in France and with the the United States. However, thanks to the “signature”, with the “key Gasté Spitz”, (here an original harmonic transition from the verse to the refrain), the American courts recognize, on July 11th, 1987, that Loulou Gasté is well the author of the song Feelings . Although the opposing party tries to appeal, on December 22nd, 1988 Loulou Gasté is definitively recognized like the legitimate type-setter of this song. This lawsuit, in 2007, always makes Jurisprudence.
In 2007, there exist several versions of this song interpreted by largest and those are sometimes unexpected. Thus, Feelings was taken again by the Offsprings, version Punk-rock'n'roll. There exists also a version interpreted by Patrick Fiori and Julie Zenatti on the album “Feelings - Homage to Gasté Spitz” left in 2001.
Death
Loulou Gasté is deceased the January 8th 1995 with Rueil-Malmaison. It was buried with the Cimetière of Passy, in Paris.
