He marries the August 13rd 1615 Anne de Polignac (1598 - 1651), they had 4 children:- Maurice (October 16th 1618 with Châtillon-on-Loing - May 23rd 1644 with Vincennes), Count de Coligny, dies in a duel with the Duc of Own way)
- Gaspard IV of Coligny (June 9th 1620 with Châtillon-on-Loing - February 9th 1649 Château of Vincennes), duke of Châtillon then Duc of Coligny 1648, Marshal of France (1649). Marry in 1645 Elisabeth Angélique of Montmorency-Bouteville (1627 - 1695)
- Henriette de Coligny (1618 - 1673), wife in 1643 Thomas Hamilton, count de Haddington, then in 1653 Gaspard de Champagne, count of Suze (cancelled marriage).
- Anne, (September 4th 1624 with Châtillon-on-Loing - January 13rd 1680 with Riquewir), wife in 1648 Georges II, duke of Wurtemberg-Montbeliard (1626 - 1699)
