Garuda

Garuda ( गरूड , eagle in Sanskrit) is a fabulous bird of the Indian Mythologie , wire of Kashyapa and Vinatâ and brother of Aruna, the driver of the tank of Sûrya. It is the Vâhana or conveys Vishnu.

Garuda can also be seen like a vulture mythical, enemy air natural of the Naga, snakes of water and ground. But Naga and Garuda are in fact only two incarnations of Vishnu, the two aspects of the divine substance, in which they are reconciled.

Garuda is the emblem of the Indonesia. The character, as many other Indian cultural references is always alive in the traditional culture with Java, the most populated island of Indonesia. The courses royal and princely of Java, even after the sovereigns converted with Islam, indeed preserved an impregnated culture of elements and Indian models. The national airline company is the Garuda Indonesia.

It is also the emblem of monarchy in Thailand, a yellow flag struck of red Garuda (called in Thai Khrouth ) fleet the palate when the king is present. He is also regarded as a national symbol since he decorates the official buildings, the passport, and banknotes of the country (see Baht). In recognition of the services rendered to the nation, the king decrees the right to some large business firms to use it to decorate their frontage and their official documents.
