Garrya
Garrya is a kind composed of 13 species of shrubs or small evergreen trees of the family of the Garryaceae . They live in the wooded areas and the thickets of the east of the the United States, until in Central America and with the the Antilles.
The sheets are presented per opposite pairs. They are oval with elliptic, and coriaces. The flowers form hanging kittens. The plant is Dioïque. The male kittens are more decorative than the Chaton S females, which produce spherical bays brown purple.
Rusticity is rather good, Garrya which can tolerate temperatures until -10°C. On the other hand it is preferable not to expose them to the cold winds.
The listed principal disease is that of the foliar spots (disease Cryptogamique).
