Garment District
The Garment District is an abstract district of Manhattan, with New York, located in a vast space comrpis between the Cinquième Which occurred and the Ninth Avenue, and between the 34e street and the 42e street. Its name which means “district of clothing literally” explains by the fact why it is known since the beginning of the XXe century like an important center of design and manufacture of clothing with the the United States. Garment District is thus the large district of the mode of New York. Of an approximate surface of 1,6 km ², it includes/understands several places and important buildings of the city, among which the Empire State Building, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, the general office of the stations ( New York General Post Office ), PEN Station, the Madison Square Garden or the department store of the world, store Macy' S. The district shelters also many warehouses, as well as workshops of clothes industry of clothing.
