Pierre Guerin de Montaigu , gentleman of Auvergne, marshal of hospital of St-Jean-of-Jerusalem, was elected 13th large Master Hospitaliers of Midsummer's Day of Jerusalem in 1207 or 1208.
It helped the Christian Arménie against Soliman d' Iconium, made raise the seat of Midsummer's Day d' Acre to the Sultan of Damas. It was announced to the catch of Damiette, and traversed then the majority of the states of Europe to request helps. On its return, it found Palestine delivered to anarchy, and sought, but in vain, to bring closer the hospital ones to the templiers with, which they were in open war. In 1228 it urged the Pape to break the truce concluded between Christians and Musulman S. It refused the same year to go to the army, as long as it would be ordered by the emperor Frederic II, that the pope had excommunicated.
He died in Palestine in 1230.
