Gareth Evans (philosopher)

Gareth Evans (May 12th 1946 - August 10th 1980) is a British Philosophe, disciple of Peter Strawson, and credit with the Université of Oxford in the years 1970. He died prematurely of a lung cancer.
Its principal work, Varieties off refers (Oxford University Press, 1982), unfinished and posthumous, was published by his/her close colleague John McDowell. The work is a defense of a design néo-frégéenne language and spirit.
