Garéoult
Garéoult (in Occitan Of Provence Gareut according to the traditional standard or Garéut according to the Standard mistralienne) is a common French, located in the department of the Var and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure.
Blazon
The blazon of the commune represents a money door with sinople plant. This plant, called Garou, was selected for the resemblance between its name and the name of the village.Geography
The village is located at an average altitude of approximately 300 meters, and profits from the presence of three sources: the source Martin Saint, the source Medard saint, and the source of Clastre.
Garéoult is crossed by the Issole, affluent of the Caramy.
History
In 1988,90 burials were discovered. Some of them would date from the time Gallo-Roman, while others, more recent, would date from the Moyen-âge.

The church, of Romance style, was built between 1045 and 1048. This church is surmounted by a bell-tower of Provence of decorative type builds in 1842. The church was destroyed partly then rebuilt with the stones of origin in 1848.
About 1500, a mill with oil actuated by animals was built in the center of the village. The operation of this mill stopped in 1956 following the freezing of the olive-trees located on the commune.
Oldest of the fountains of the village, the 4 season old fountain, was built before 1745.
