Ganishka (Berserk)

Ganisha is a character of the Manga Berserk .

Ganishka is the principal antagonist of Griffith in the cycle of the thousand-year-old Faucon. Ganishka, emperor of Kushan, appear for the first time in volume 27 of Manga.

Kushans are people located at the east of Midland which one could see some representatives (clans of Bakiraka assassins) at the time of the escape from Griffith by the falcons, before screening. Ganishka invades the kingdom of Midland, with the favor of its weakness (of with the 100 year old war against the empire of Tudor) and also of the disappearance of the King.

One knows few things about his motivations and the character, if it is not that it is interested in the reincarnation of Griffith on ground. It sends a brigade indeed to locate this one.

The true nature of Ganishka is revealed to us in volume 27, during a confrontation between the Kushanes forces and the troop of the Falcon (reconstituted by Griffith):

Ganishka is an Apostle, refusing to subject itself to Griffith (its " supérieur" on the démoniaque level) which wants to reconquer Midland! To be able to resist the troop of the Falcon, which counts the many ones and frightening Apôtres, Ganishka uses the magic with excess. Powerful wizard, it is able to embank most valorous Apôtres in a wink. He also makes use of powerful magic spells to create terrifying soldiers and monsters (quasi-apostles)

Vis-a-vis this new threat, states having the same religion that Midland are in the course of alliance to push back Ganishka and the Kushans legions.
