Gammelost
The gammelost (old cheese) or gamalost is a Norwegian Fromage. It prepares while making boil milk without addition of Présure, contrary to what is the use in Europe.
It is a cheese containing cow's milk. The appreciation of the taste of this cheese is not innate, this one is very typical with a rather raspy taste that the amateurs of Camembert, roquefort and other blue could appreciate. It is consumed especially cooks some to raise the dishes or in very fine section.
The gammelost, like fish and meats dried, with the characteristic to be able to be preserved over long periods without refrigeration.
