Gambit of the king

The gambit of the king or Gambit King is a opening Jeu of failures. It was very popular at the 19th century. The player of failures Anderssen left splendid parts with this opening. One also organized tournaments sets of themes, i.e. while forcing the players to start with a gambit of the king. During the 20th century, she knew a general disaffection and a little scorning.

It is a sharp, but risky opening for the white. Today, one tends to consider that the Blacks preserve good against-chances. The principal idea of this opening is to open the column F in order to attack the pawn f7 only protected by the king at the time of the beginning of the part.
