A gamétocyste is a vegetable structure which produces and which contains Gamète S. the gamétocystes meet only at the Thallophyte S (Algue S and Champignon S).

The gamétocyste is consisted of the wall of the cell mother of the spores inside which the production of the gamètes is done. Contrary to the Gamétange, there is no sterile fabric.
