Galluis
Galluis is a common French, located in the department of the Yvelines and the area Île-de-France.
Its inhabitants is called the Galluisiens .
Geography
The commune of Galluis is a rural district, partly wooded in its southern part which is attached to the main forest of Rambouillet. The habitat is grouped in the borough. Activities were established along the road ntionale and close to the station close to Montfort-l' Amaury-Mother.The communes bordering are Méré in the east and south-east, Grosrouvre in south-west, Tail-the-Yvelines in the west and Boissy-without-To have in north.
She is crossed in the East-West direction by the Trunk road 12 (with highway characteristics) like by the railway Paris Dreux.
She is irrigated by the brook of Lieutel, tributary of the Mauldre, which occurs in the commune and skirts its western and north-western limit.
History
The site is inhabited since the Gallo-Roman time.In 1883, the commune of Tail-the-Yvelines was detached from Galluis by dismemberment of the old commune of Galluis-the-Tail.
