Historical context

When the April 14th 1865 the general Lee sign the rendering of the confederated with Appomattox, it puts an end to the conflict which opposed North to the South of the the United States during four long years. The Conquest of the West, started for a few decades, has become again consequently the main axis of the American history.

Synopsis

During and after the American Civil War, the perilous course of a family of Southerners, accompanied by an Indian in escape, through the West of the United States to escape the authorities from North.
