Gallotia bravoana

Gallotia bravoana is a Espèce of Lézard S of the family of the lacertidés which is endemic of the island Will gum It, in the the Canaries.
It is a Reptile presenting a color white constant to the level of the nape of the neck, mouth and chest, which strongly contrasts with the remainder of the rather brown body somber.
In fact generally diurnal lizards consume mainly plants, and which can reach about fifty centimètres.
The females only once lay in the year a series from three to seven eggs.

Conservation of the species

The population of this species was estimated at 90 individuals in 2004 (distributed on a zone of a Hectare approximately), plus a group of forty individuals raised in captivity within the framework of a program of reintroduction.
