Galloanserae

According to the Taxonomy Sibley-Ahlquist, the Lignée of the Galloanserae for a long time diverged from the other lines of Néognathes of which it constitutes the base.

It is divided into 3 S:

  • the Ansériformes,
  • the Galliformes (Sibley),
  • the Craciformes constituting with preceding the traditional order by the Galliformes.

Their name is made of “ gallo ” for the galliformes and “ anserae ” for the ansériformes.
