Gallo-Roman channel of Autun
The Gallo-Roman channel of Autun is still visible on a few hundreds of mêtres, downstream from the aerodrome, parallel with the road of Castle-Chinon.
It was a derivation of the river That. It seems to be built to convey wood of the Morvan and to feed the arênes of Autun (disappeared) for the Naumachie S.
The site where it is most visible is the locality " Moreaux" , locatable with a white virgin at the entry of the way which leads to a private property. Between this way and the aerodrome of Autun, the channel is seen clearly out of cut, to approximately 15 m of the road, opposite the retail park.
