The Gauloises are a mark of Cigarette S produced in France by the company Altadis and famous internationally to be strong.
Great dates
The mark appeared in 1910.
Starting from 1925 the Gallic ones are sold out of package, on which a helmet with wings still represented is drawn today. This emblem characteristic of the mark was created by the painter-landscape designer Maurice Giot.
In 1936 the package is re-examined by the Graphiste Marcel Jacno which also proceeds to some final improvements for the helmet. It is on this date that blue, always of use, the package is introduced.
The Gallic ones with filters appeared in the Années 1950.
1984 sees the launching of the Gauloises blondes.
In spite of the fame, the sales dropped in certain countries with the decline of the Tabagisme. The Gallic ones are currently the 2nd mark most sold in France.
