Gallatin Arranges

The Gallatin Range (Gallatin chain) is an assembly line which is in the west of the the United States, in the states of the Montana and the Wyoming. They include/understand more than ten tops of more than 3000 meters. The culminating point of the chain is the Electric Peak (3343 m). Its name comes from Albert Gallatin. It extends on 120 km from north in the south and on 32 km from width.

The tops more in the south of the chain constitute the north-western part of the National park of Yellowstone. Most of the chain includes/understands the Gallatin National Forest. The river Yellowstone runs on the Eastern slope. The Madison Range is in the west of the chain of Gallatin. The extreme north of the chain with Livingston (Montana) and Bozeman Pass separates Gallatin Range Bridger Mountains. The fauna of the mountain belongs to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and is composed of the Grizzly, Loup and other threatened species which one meets in Yellowstone. Gallatin Range has one of the largest petrified forests of the Eocene era . The petrified trunks were covered by Lave and volcanic ash when the area was subjected to an intense volcanic activity approximately 50 million years ago.
