Galkacyo

Galkacyo (or Galcaio) is the capital of the area of Mudug in Somalia. It is divided into two parts. The south is the administrative seat of the area of Mudug. North is included in the car-proclaimed province of the Puntland.

One estimates the population of the city at approximately 250.000 people. Galkacyo is located in the central part of Somalia. It is one of the cities most developed in the area. It built schools, a large airport and is in phase of development.

The name of the city in Italian was Rocco Littorio .
