Galigo
Galigo is a epopee written in old language Bugis which survived in the shape of thousands of partial manuscripts. The text makes some 300.000 worms, that is to say approximately 6.000 pages and 20 times the length of the Odyssée, which does one of longest existing literary works of them. The epopee would have been written between XIIIe and XVe centuries.
Galigo, which is the name of one of the characters of the account, tells the myth of creation through the adventures of the large Sawerigading warrior, and of its incestueux love for his/her sister We Tenriabeng twins.
Although Galigo cannot be regarded as a historical document, it makes it possible to the historians to have an idea of the company of Bugis of the southern of the island of Célèbes in Indonesia with the XIVe century.
