Gian Galeazzo Ciano , count de Cortellazzo and of Buccari (Leghorn, Italy, March 18th 1903 - Verona, Italy, January 11th 1944) was a Italian Politician.

Wire of the admiral Costanzo Ciano (1876 - 1939), a close relation of Mussolini which was under-secretary with the Navy, then Minister of Transport and president of the Room of Fasci and the corporations (the assembly which had replaced the House of Commons during Fascism). He married in 1936 the oldest daughter of Benito Mussolini, Edda Ciano.

Consul with Shanghai of 1930 with 1935, Minister for the Popular culture (1935 - 1936), Foreign Minister (1936 - 1943). During its passage to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs it holds a newspaper, which in 1945 will be sold by his wife at a Swiss publisher which will make it reveal in 1946.

In 1943, discouraged by the Italian military failures, and hostile with the alliance with Germany, it has a presentiment of that the continuation of the Second world war wished by Mussolini will plunge the country in chaos. Drawn aside by Mussolini in February 1943, it is named ambassador of Italy near the the Holy See. At the time of the the Great Council of Fascism of the July 25th 1943, it votes for the day order presented by the count Dino Grandi asking to return all the capacities to the king and to the army, and thus the dismissal of Duce. Stopped by the German , it is delivered to the government of the République of Salò. After a lawsuit with Vérone handled by the Nazis, he is shot with four of the members of the Great Council who had voted for the Grandi day order. Mussolini refuses to sign the request for grace of his/her own son-in-law, who is introduced to him after the execution.

His/her daughter Raimonda known as Dindina (1935 - 2001) will be for some time the wife of the marquis Alessandro Giunta (wire of Francesco Giunta (minister of Mussolini) and of Zénaïde de Roccagiovine (downward of Lucien Bonaparte (brother of Napoleon I {{er}})
