Galbatorix

Galbatorix is a character of fiction: it is the name given to the tyrannical king in the books of Christopher Paolini, Eragon, Elder the, the Empire and the Heritage. It is old Dragonnier, cruel and bad, which has great capacities. It tries d´abord to put Eragon on its side, but lorsqu´il notices that it will fight against him it tries l´emprisonner. It cannot kill it because the dragon of Eragon (Saphira) is the only female dragon which exists and without it the dragons will disappear (lorsqu´on keep silent a Dragonnier its dragon dies with him).

Galbatorix had killed all Dragonniers and their dragons parce qu´il had lost to it his. It had gathered thirteen other dragonniers as cruel as him and when they all were died, Galbatorix seized the power and became king d´ Alagaësia. Meanwhile the thirteen other Dragonniers died (Brom because death of 8 of them) and since Galbatorix s´est taken a new dragon, Shruikan. There bewitches it with black Magie for qu´il is a bond between them (normally a bond between dragon and Dragonnier is so strong qu´ils can read their thoughts) which is extremely strong.

It captures Murtagh, a companion of Eragon and wire of its old nearer allied (the first of the Perjuries, Morzan) and l´oblige it to serve and Eragon knows that c´est its destiny to fight Galbatorix in a near future.
