Galatie
The Galatie is an area of Asia Mineure in Anatolia, of which the name comes from the Galates, people Celtes which, in the Antiquité, migrated there.
Geographically, it is delimited by the Pontus and the Paphlagonie in north, the Cappadoce in the east, the kingdom of Pergame in the south and the Bithynie in the west.
Galatie was conquered by Rome in 189 av. J. - C. and became Roman Province in 25 av J. - C.. It was évangélisée as of the beginnings of the Christian era.
