Galéran II of Meulan
Galéran II , or Valéran II , was Viscount of Meulan at the end of the 10th century. It was wire of Galéran Ier, Viscount of Meulan, and Lietgarde, viscountess de Mantes and of Meulan.
One knows only few things about this Viscount. His/her father died between 985 and 987, and his/her son Hugues is quoted as count de Meulan in 998, and even as of 991, if one believes the Europaïsche Stammtafelm of them. This lack of documentation is probably had with the brevity of its passage to the head of the town of Meulan.
One is unaware of the name of his wife, and one knows only three children to him:
- Hugues († 1005), Viscount of Meulan
- Lambert
- Emma
According to the obituary of Saint-Nicaise of Meulan, he would have died a April 10th, but one is unaware of of it the year, which must be, one saw it, between 987 and 991.
