Gaetano Guadagni
Gaetano Guadagni (born towards 1725 with Lodi, in Lombardy - died in November 1792 with Padoue) was a singer of Italian opera of the 18th century.
Biography
Castrato, Gaetano Guadagni is noticed in 1748 by Haendel which composes for him several airs. Like actor, he is the pupil of the famous actor David Garrick. In 1754, it sings with the Concert of sacred music with Paris. It takes part in 1762 in the creation of Orfeo ED Euridice of Gluck in Vienna by interpreting the role titrates. After 40 years, its voice passes from the Contralto to the Soprano and weakens. It had a pure style and sang without eccentricity.
His/her sister, Lavinia Guadagni followed a career of professional singer puffs out and had married the type-setter Felice Alessandri. ----
